Hosting is a target. This role owns the edge: keeping attack traffic away from customer sites, segmenting the network so one compromise is not all of them, and hardening the estate before someone else tests it for us.
What you will do
- Design and run DDoS mitigation and edge filtering
- Manage firewalls, WAF rules and network segmentation
- Harden hosts and control-panel estates against known attack paths
- Lead incident response for network and platform security events
- Keep our practices in line with the commitments we make to customers
What we are looking for
- Network security in production - firewalls, routing, TLS
- Practical experience mitigating live attacks, not just reading about them
- Linux hardening and familiarity with common web attack paths
- Clear incident write-ups; you can explain an event to non-engineers
Nice to have
- Imunify360, CSF or ModSecurity
- BGP and anycast
- A security certification such as OSCP or CISSP
